Jiří Kovanda - I Haven’t Been Here Yet

The first this big presentation of Jiří Kovanda’s art in Poland. The exhibition is an analytical display of Kovanda’s work since 1970’s, that is from the time of his first solo exhibition which took place in Poland, in Mospan Gallery in Warsaw in 1976, and up until today. The title of the exhibition, “I Haven’t Been Here Yet”, proposed by the artist, reflects the subtle sense of humour and gentle absurd, so characteristic for his minimalistic works and acts. More than 100 objects, documents and paintings borrowed for this exhibition come from museum collections, galleries and private collections from France, Czech Republic, Austria and Poland. The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue published in Polish, Czech and English.
