Centenary of the birth of Tadeusz Kantor

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Tadeusz Kantor – painter, set designer, art theorist and above all – a man of the theater, a special program including exhibitions, publications and accompanying events is prepared by Cricoteka in its headquarters in Krakow, as well as wide cooperation across Poland and abroad. In the form of a four-part exhibition (Maria Stangret and Tadeusz Kantor; April – June 2015; Tadeusz Kantor Exhibition. Episode II: Childhood, April – November 2015; The Age of Boyhood: the exhibition of drawings at the Gallery-Studio; Christian Boltanski Exhibition, July – November 2015; Tadeusz Kantor. Cholernie spadam!, December 2015 – March 2016) reveals the author's individual creative period. Presented objects, props, sketches and photographs give a complete picture of the subsequent stages in the development of its form and core ideas of one of the greatest innovators of twentieth-century theater.
