(...) I feel that I have to come to this a little bit consciously, because I know that something like this is simply not done in the 21st century - to paint flowers, nudes and still lifes is completely out of fasion.

The Teren's depository is a living encyclopedia Euro-Americanof painting at the turn of the twentieth and twenty-first century. His work is timeless, its classic themes are permanently vitiated by incisive insights. His "still lifes with skulls, fruit (or rather vegetables) and wilting flowers" - whether in the form of picture or three-dimensional object - they can never act menacingly. On the contrary, they encourage to raise questions about the spatial relationships and intellectual links between objects, but they also carry a subtle but persistent existential subtext. Homo bulla est. But peharps we don't have to be bothered by that so much!
